My band mates and I just moved to San Francisco, can you suggest some good resources for us to check out to get started incorporating into the scene here? What are some local events that we could get involved with?

Welcome to SF! We have a thriving music scene here in the Bay Area and the best way to get to know where you might want to play is GO OUT AND SEE LOCAL BANDS! If you like the music, talk to the musicians and start networking. The SF Weekly and Bay Guardian list most places with live and DJ performances and compared to lots of cities, we have a lot going on every night of the week. Nadines Wild Weekend (www.nadineswildweekend.com) is a late summer festival that showcases only Northern California bands and uses volunteers for shows and parties. And so do loads of other music productions so use the web and your feet and get out there.
