Jocelyn is also in full court press doing advocacy work to better the lives of SF Musicians. As a member of the San Francisco Chapter of the Recording Academy (The Grammys), and a member of the Board of Governors' Advocacy Committee, she has been instrumental in defining the committees short and long term agenda.
In September 2010, the Chapter, in partnership with the California Music and Culture Association (CMAC), produced a city wide San Francisco Supervisors Candidate Forum to educate the music and arts communities about the current relevant issues the candidates and their positions. There will be a similar forum for the Mayoral race in the fall of 2011.
Jocelyn was able to find substantial funding for the first ever Economic Impact Study of the Music Industry, being formulated by the Haas School of Business. This study will be the basis for making meaningful change within city government, and throughout the Bay area, to assist SF musicians and the industry that supports them.
