B.A.N.D. (Booking And other Necessary Details). The B.A.N.D. Workshop Series exists to assist performers with the confusing "business side" of the arts. Led by experts, these are "WORK"-shops, not "talking-head"-shops! Fun, informative, & plenty of time for Q & A! These workshops are on a variety of topics, including basic booking, publicity, promotions, festival and conferences, etc.
The B.A.N.D. Workshop Series was conceived by dani eurynome and Jocelyn Kane, both Bay Area bookers and promoters (among other things). Through their experiences, they've noticed that too many performers were unaware of what to do in order to become successful.
"From booking etiquette and promotion to press packages and touring, we saw bands making mistakes that could have been avoided. It became obvious in our dealings with bands that some lessons would be helpful for both the bands themselves and the community at large."
